Joiners Floats

During the original research on our plane making floats we learned about the variety of old joiners' floats. Over the years, we had a couple false starts at making joiners' floats but simply didn't have the time to make them happen. Designed by Clark & Williams and produced by Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, we're pleased to now be able to offer these useful traditional joinery tools. Floats can cut more aggressively than rasps or take fine finish cuts. Hardened and tempered to about RC50, these versatile tools can be easily resharpened with a file. Our experience is those who try these floats almost universally ask why such useful tools ever disappeared from the market.
